Ok Play brings dynamic art & play experiences to children across Downeast Maine. We utilize open-ended materials to create temporary play spaces that center children & honor their innate ability to find joy.

Our Materials

In contrast to conventional toys & play structures, open-ended objects call for deep engagement, manipulation & innovation. Rather than purchasing toys from large corporations- we source materials from local businesses & community members.

Fishing rope, blueberry boxes, scrap wood, rotary phones; these items allow children to form observations & feel connected to the world around them. Through these undefined objects- our play spaces foster self-sufficiency & creativity- all while encouraging larger conversations about sustainability, consumerism & culture.
